"Centennial Harvest" at SebArts: #picsoritdidnthappen

Party like it's 1876: The core preview exhibit for Sonoma Art Trails 2026 opened today at Sebastopol Center for the Arts and runs until 18 October. This is the one annual show that features all of the Art Trails participants at one go. With that in mind, each year I've made something special for this exhibit, unexpected, as an experiment to share with other Sonoman artists.

As an artist who likes to work in series, it can be a tough call when asked for a single item to represent work in progress: what to chose, that represents both the project and fits the exhibit constraints?

This year, I'm sharing a key image from my American semiquincentennial project Centennial Harvest #picsoritdidnthappen, about Sonoma County life in the year 1876: the first American Centennial. We'll see how it flies!
